As summer is winding down, for a brief period there, down here in Southern California, we got mid to high 70's during the day, and low 60's at night, perfect for painting....but

Last tactical squad going to get primed and painted. I lost interest tonight and closed early. But hey, at least these are ready. And this is the first time using #galeforce9 fine sand, liked it. Rocks are gw slate. STYNYLREZ

So since I have a little time waiting for cooler weather to prevail I have finished assembly of my 5 man assault squad. I debated on not using the perches but meh I think I got it right. Also I'm gonna try it out #stynylrezprimer since my hobby shop was out of Vallejo surface primer. So please let me know of any concerns or tips you may have about this primer. My First Blood Raven Army (list)

1500 Points of Angels of Death - Blood Ravens

This is just a list my friend Alec and I were going over.  Over the next few weeks I'll be a busy little bee getting them together.  Now, the entire army will be painted in the Blood Ravens scheme.  Red, black and yes, bleached bone shoulder guards.  Reminder:  This is just a fun list to play with, there are a lot of sub rules for me to remember while playing!  I play for fun and not very competitive. I don't plan on playing in any tournaments, well maybe in local ones over at Brookhurst Hobbies and against my friends down here in Southern California.  I like the idea of playing with full 10 man tactical squads, but with the release of the Angels of Death supplement, there are a few new formations I want to try out, then again I haven't played since the 3rd edition.  I plan on having fun with this list and will be playing against veteran players.  Hell the last time I played most of the people I'll play were probably still in grade school.  So enjoy our silly list.  I am only playing with what I have on hand for models.  I believe in "Stillmania" and WYSIWYG.  I also included the sub rules in this list to aid me, as to burn them into my head (red paragraphs).

Back in the Saddle

I've been MIA for awhile now, mostly due to a deep depression and severe back pain.  But, I'm back  and I've been working vehemently over night on my Dark Angels army.  I'm building a 750 point list, a recon style force to battle my friend Ernie over at Brookhurst Hobbies.  Right now, We've taken in a pregnant cat who had her kittens last month on the 4th of April. 3 kittens and one past away a week ago.  She was the runt of the liter, and well, the other 2 are healthy and very much alive.  Right now I can't really or don't want to airbrush in my room due to particles flying around the room and I wouldn't want it to affect their health.
So here's what I've got so far.

I've been busy

Not to keep everyone (currently all six of you) in the dark, but I've been building Cadians.  I'm actually having fun doing it and I've 10 of 60, I'm going to be doing them 10 at a time, so stay tuned for pictures.  Blood Ravens are on hold, not totally out of the picture, I've been painting nothing but space marines for the past 15 years.  Plus, these Cadians will be used in conjunction with the Blood Ravens, not only on the table, but in a diorama.
